I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2016 and am currently studying the LPC and LLM at BPP University Law School in Manchester alongside my full-time training contact. I joined Hall Smith Whittingham in June 2015 as a floating secretary during my summer break and continued to assist at the firm throughout my final year when I was home from university. I am predominantly based in the Family Department at the Nantwich office and deal with privately funded clients on divorces and financial matters. I also assist in the Dispute Resolution department and manage credit control.
My legal background includes a number of placements and voluntary positions alongside my studies. I volunteered at the Personal Support Unit at Sheffield Law Court during my second year, assisting Litigants in Person in family and civil matters. I also worked as a BPP University Liaison Officer throughout my final year and had a year-long placement at Kennedys in the Construction and Engineering department in both Sheffield and Birmingham. I have further undertaken placements at Ward Hadaway in Manchester and Newcastle and BLM in Manchester.
Although my free time is limited at present, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, especially my baby nephew, Austin! I have a love for travelling and adventure sports and do lots of crazy things for charity such as skydiving and abseiling down UK landmarks. Next year I endeavor to do a wing walk to raise money for Parkinson’s UK.
