Solicitor
With a career in Private Client law that began in 2015, I qualified as a solicitor in 2017.
My background covers all key areas of Private Client law, including the preparation of Wills -ranging from the straightforward to highly technical Wills for high-net-worth individuals – alongside inheritance tax (IHT) planning and estate structuring. I also regularly advise on trust creation and administration, asset protection strategies, and the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney. Additionally, I have extensive experience in Court of Protection matters and Deputyship applications, often guiding families through emotionally sensitive and complex decisions with empathy and clarity.
Having come to the legal profession from a teaching background, this has shaped my approachable, down-to-earth style and contributes to my reputation for being easy to talk to and straightforward in my advice, cutting out needless jargon. I pride myself on building lasting relationships with clients, many of whom come to me through personal recommendations.
Supporting junior staff and nurturing the next generation of solicitors is an aspect of my role I find particularly rewarding. My experience in education has allowed me to mentor junior colleagues effectively, fostering both their confidence and technical skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. I enjoy contributing to the culture of continuous learning and development within the firm.
Outside of the office, I enjoy a creative outlet through music. I play guitar in a local band and enjoy attending live music events whenever I can. I’m also a keen traveller, always on the lookout for new historical places to explore.
My approach to Private Client work is grounded in integrity, technical competence, and a genuine interest in people. Whether advising individuals, families, or business owners, I am committed to delivering tailored legal solutions that offer peace of mind, protect assets, and support long-term planning goals.
