Last week the new Death Notification Service was launched meaning that grieving families no longer have to call multiple banks to inform them of a death. The service can be used by completing a single form online or by making one phone call. The major financial institutions are on board, with smaller banks, building societies and insurance companies to follow eventually.
The service is being run by Equiniti, who have a dedicated team to help families: phone lines are open Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm and can be contacted on 03332076574 or online on www.deathnotificationservices.co.uk.
