UK Transgender woman wins Pension Battle against UK Government
The European Court of Justice has ruled that the UK Government discriminated against a transgender lady who tried to claim her pension when she reached the age of 60.
The UK refused her request because she was still married to her wife.
The Court ruled that a person who has changed gender does not have to annul their marriage before claiming a pension.
